Wolflin Cottage Residence

This project involved renovating and expanding a 1920s English Tudor Revival home in the historic Wolflin Neighborhood. The design aimed to improve the floor plan by enlarging the kitchen and seamlessly connecting a previous addition, which had a flat roof and was poorly integrated with the main structure. The owner wanted both the interior and exterior to celebrate the home's distinctive half-timbered style. A new addition replaced the flat roof with a period-appropriate roofline, enhancing the architectural harmony. The exterior, previously painted and damaged by moisture, was revitalized with a fresh material palette and new gardens that complement the Tudor style. The spacious, family-friendly kitchen and dining area feature matching exterior materials, while new windows and doors throughout were carefully selected to honor the home’s original character.
