Wolflin Square Shopping Center

This project revitalized a 1960s retail center, addressing the need for increased parking, enhanced landscaping, and updated facades. The design concept aimed to evoke the charm of small-town Texas Main Streets. Given the center’s low profile and rooftop equipment obstructing visibility from the I-40 corridor, the design introduced taller storefronts to shield the rooftop equipment, improve facade visibility, and provide more signage opportunities for shop owners. The new facades feature diverse materials, colors, and a mix of cloth and metal awnings to create a pedestrian-friendly scale. Additionally, a new building was constructed on the southwest corner pad site, drawing design inspiration from the main center and enhancing visibility for this business.
